Biggie’s Mom Throws Lil Kim Off Monica Single

Lil' Kim

Some beef is everlasting.  According R&B singer Monica via Twitter, Voletta Wallace has threaten to revoke the sample clearance of  Biggie’s classic “Who Shot Ya” if his former lover Lil Kim’s verse is left on the song, “Anything (To Find You)” collaboration. You can hear the original single featuring Lil Kim here.

You know it’s bad, when people turn down the opportunity to make money  because of ill feelings.

“I am just finding out what has happened to my single and myself & Missy are beyond hurt that @LilKim was removed. She’s our friend, a legend & @LilKim will get the respect she deserves at all cost. The clearance was revoked & I’m fighting to get it reinstated by the Biggie Estate.”

Tensions between Ms. Wallace and Lil Kim became public,  after  Wallace played down Kim’s relationship with the Notorious B.I.G. in the media.  More recently, Lil Kim took issue with Biggie’s mom and Diddy  over the way she was portrayed in the movie Notorious.

While Monica disagrees with Wallace’s decision to revoke the clearance,  she made it clear that she meant no disrespect.

“”We respect all parties involved & were gonna do WHATEVER to keep the song as is because @lilKim the bizness on the record…I am as thorough as they come and I LOVE @LilKim bottom line is Ms Wallace has the final say and she said No. If we put it out we get sued.

It’s time for Ms. Wallace to let this go.  Biggie definitely wouldn’t wanted it this way.
