A huge congratulation goes out to the New York Giants for winning Super Bowl XLVI!

Eli Manning played strong from the beginning and it paid off in the end. The Giants rematch against the New England Patriots was a success.

It was anybody’s game up until the end when the Giants trailed by 2 points with 3:46 remaining. Manning threw a 38-yard pass down the left sideline to Mario Manningham who completed the pass and managed to keep his two feet inbounds. The play was challenged by the Patriots but held strong as a completion. Afterward, Ahmad Bradshaw made a touchdown talking the Giants to a 21-17 lead.

The Patriots got the ball back and with 57 seconds remaining, but Tom Brady could not connect his final pass in to the end zone.

The clock ticked down to 0 and the Giants took home the win!

Two of stand ups most iconic comedians might be joining together for a new tour. After years of being completely off the map, Comedy Central’s legendary Dave Chappelle might be making a comeback with Chris Rock.

Fans are dying to know if the rumors are true. Last October, the idea of Rock and Chappelle going on tour together surfaced, but there has not been any new news—until now.

During a recent interview, Rock told New York magazine’s Vulture,

“I’ve been talking to Chappelle a lot. Been trying to get Chappelle to go on tour.”

Rock said he was inspired by the recent joining up of Jay Z and Kanye West.

“You know I’m not the hard one,” Rock laughed. “I’m trying to make that happen. After seeing Kanye and Jay-Z, I was like, ‘Me and Dave should do this.’”

Rock’s new movie, 2 Days in New York, will run this Thursday. As for Chappelle, well, we are keeping our fingers crossed.

It looks like Kim Kardashian is in the spotlight again, but this time it’s not the kind of publicity she was hoping for.

In a recent web video, Snoop Dogg lashes out against Kardashian, calling her a “cold-blooded b—-.“ The rapper is sitting behind a mock news desk covered with 40 ounce bottles of Colt 45, while puffing away at an unknown substance.

Although the video’s setup is over the top, Snoop, 40, attempts to give Kardashian’s ex-husband, Kris Humphries, some advice. While using several expletives, Snoop tells Humphries he should have never tried to “wife the b—-.“ “She’s not that type of a h–, she gets around,” the rapper says. “I’m pretty sure she’ll have a book in a month talking about all the n—-s that she got and how she played them.”

Snoop goes on to mention Kardashian’s exes Reggie Bush and Ray J, who is Snoop’s first cousin. Ray J is best known for appearing in the infamous sex tape with Kardashian back in 2007. Snoop feels that his cousin was the only guy to “bounce back from the b—-.”

Snoop concludes his outrageous advice segment with his final words of wisdom, “… you can’t make a h– a housewife…Let her do what she was born to do. H–. Yeah, h–, punk b—-!”

Despite all the recent gossip surrounding Beyonce Knowles, Rutgers University has announced that they are now offering a college course dedicated to the inspiring songstress.

The Department of Women’s and Gender Studies is now offering the course ‘Politicizing Beyonce,’ which will examine the social and cultural significance of the superstar’s music and image.

Kevin Allred, a Rutgers PH.D. candidate, teaches the course and mentioned on the school’s website, “This isn’t a course about Beyonce’s political engagement or how many times she performed during President Obama’s inauguration weekend. She certainly pushes boundaries. While other artists are simply releasing music, she’s creating a grand narrative around her life, her career, and her persona.”

The course description says that students will analyze the singer’s alter ego Sasha Fierce. They will also discuss whether her racy image is a demonstration of female sexual empowerment or complicit with gender stereotypes.

Beyonce isn’t the first person in her family to have a college course taught in her honor. Her husband, Jay Z, was honored with a Georgetown University sociology course named after him.

Oprah Winfrey’s new primetime series, “Oprah’s Next Chapter” is expanding to two nights a week after a significant rebound in ratings.

The show, which will air Sunday and Monday nights on OWN, features Winfrey venturing outside the studio and participating in interviews and conversations with celebrities, newsmakers, motivational speakers and leaders, and real-life families.

Since the series two hour premiere, the ratings have hit serious highs and lows. On Jan. 8 during an interview with Joel Osteen, the show took a flying leap up to 1.6 million, a network record. Also, on Jan. 23 the ratings peaked after hitting an all time low the week prior. The show has averaged 924,000 total viewers in its first month on the air.

Starting next week on Jan. 29/30, Winfrey will visit Haiti with actor Sean Penn to take a closer look at Penn’s humanitarian efforts. Together, they will experience the anguish and optimism of Haitians two years after one of the worst natural disasters in history.

“Oprah’s Next Chapter” will also bring Winfrey to Brooklyn’s Hasidic Jewish communities, as well as an interview with motivational speaker Tony Robbins. The series will also touch base with Paula Deen and Deepak Chopra.

Etta James, the American singer who was well known for her unique style of blues, jazz, and gospel music, died Friday morning in Riverside Calif. She was 73.

According to her manager, Lupe De Leon, the cause of death was from complications with leukemia. She died at Riverside Community Hospital, where she had been treated for a number of conditions including leukemia and dementia.

It was the variety in her music that helped Ms. James build her outstanding career. In the 1950s, her album “Good Rockin’ Daddy” pinned her as a rhythm and blues singer.  Later, in 1961 she belted out the pop standard, “At Last,” which is one of the most beautiful and heartening love songs ever written. In 1995 her album “Mystery Lady: Songs of Billie Holiday” landed her a Grammy Award for best jazz vocal performance.

Despite her ever growing talent, Ms. James struggled with a heroin addiction in the 1960s, which she managed to overcome.  However, she began using cocaine in the 1970s. She describes her battles with addiction in her autobiography, “Rage to Survive.”

Ms. James’s survivors include her husband of 42 years, Artis Mills; two sons, Donto and Sametto James; and four grandchildren.

Halle Berry can finally sleep soundly knowing that her stalker has been sentenced to 386 days in jail.

Richard Franco, 27, was arrested last July after trespassing on Berry’s Hollywood Hills home on three separate occasions.

Franco initially began his brief reign of terror by scaling the wall of Berry’s private property and approaching her house with something in his hands. The next day he hid in the bushes while Berry spent time in her garage. That same day she came face to face with Franco as he spied on her through her kitchen door. This caused Berry to call the police, but they did not find Franco until he returned to the property the next day.

Franco has spent the last 6 months in jail and finally made a deal with the prosecutors and pled no contest to felony stalking in exchange for dropping a felony burglary charge. He will continue his sentence for another 6 months. Following his jail time, he will have five years probation and a year of mandatory psychological counseling.

Berry was also given an extension of her three-year restraining order against Franco, which says he has to stay at least 200 yards away from her and her three-year-old daughter Nahla for the next 10 years.

Things seem to be spiraling out of control between 50 Cent and major label executives at Universal Music Group and Interscope Records.

Not one to feel abashed by his actions, Fifty has been publicly speaking out against the major labels over what he perceives to be a lack of support for his forthcoming album.

He recently release a new music video entitled “Burn” that has been widely perceived as a slight towards Interscope.

Universal Music Group, the parent company of Interscope and Def Jam, allegedly invoked it’s rights under Digital Music Copyright Act to compel YouTube to remove the video.

While fans question the timing of the action, Universal has been consistent in removing videos that copyrighted content even if posted by its own recording artists.

UMG owns Interscope Records which is the home of Aftermath and its Eminem helmed subsidiary Shady Records.

Controversial, yet widely popular Young Money recording artist Nicki Minaj has a lot to be proud of.  The worldwide sales of her debut album Pink Friday has been certified as double platinum.

The overtly sexy artist share her good news with her ever growing fan base via Twitter.
