The Latest Urban Entertainment Related NewsLMFAO’s Sky Blu Details Specifics of Scuffle with Gov. Romney
Sky Blu, one half of the Grammy-nominated electro-hop group, LMFAO, is detailing the specifics surrounding his President’s Day scuffle with politician Mitt Romney.
According to Blu, he claims the incident commenced over him leaning his seat back prior to their flight’s departure. Romney (seated directly behind him) began yelling for Blu to move his seat. Romney then grabbed Blu’s shoulder, and as an immediate response, Blu slapped the politician’s hand away.
“He Vulcan-gripped me real quick. The man was sitting here and said, ‘Sir, put your seat up,’ and, pow, and what I did was a Vulcan-grip countermove. I learned this when I was a youngster. Bam, forehead. I went upside his head one time. That was the reaction when you touch me, especially during a heated exchange, I’m gonna have to rearrange your forehead piece.”
Soon after, Blu was escorted off the plane.
Romney’s description of the story is an altered version.
Eric Fehrnstrom (Romney’s spokesperson) detailed the incident with Blu being the aggressor saying, “Governor Romney did not retaliate.”
Whether or not Romney grabbed the musician was not specified.
Blu (Skyler Gordy) is the nephew of Motown Founder Berry Gordy, while other group member Redfoo (Stefan Gordy) is his son. LMFAO is known for their alcohol, party induced music with hit songs “I’m In Miami B*tch“, “Shots“, and “La La La.”
