Hip-hop artist Joyner Lucas continues his global expansion with the release of “Time Is Money,” a new collaboration featuring Latin music figure J Balvin, Nigerian singer Fireboy DML, and chart-topping rapper DaBaby. The track is the third single from ADHD 2, Lucas’ upcoming album due July 18 on Twenty Nine Music Group.
“Time Is Money” brings together a cross-cultural lineup of artists, each delivering verses centered on wealth, ambition, and perseverance. J Balvin, Fireboy DML, and DaBaby each contribute with distinct deliveries and perspectives, while Lucas opens the track with tightly focused bars and deliberate pacing.
“This song is about what it really costs to chase the dream, how time becomes your most valuable currency,” Lucas said. “I wanted to bring together voices from around the world that understand that grind.”
The release builds on recent momentum for Lucas, who earlier gained attention with a freestyle over Eminem’s “Real Slim Shady” that circulated widely online. His previous single, “White Noise,” accompanied by a video filmed in a raw, garage-style setting, has surpassed 1.2 million views on YouTube. The video also features Lucas wearing official ADHD 2 merchandise, now available for purchase.
ADHD 2 follows Lucas’ 2020 debut album ADHD, and marks the next chapter in his evolving career as both a lyricist and collaborator.
