Jessica Divine: Transforming Health Through Herbal Healing

Jessica Divine founded Herbal Renaissance from her own journey of healing, transforming personal struggle into a mission grounded in faith, resilience, and ancestral wisdom. In 2015, she faced allergies, eczema, diabetes, and chronic fatigue that conventional medicine couldn’t resolve. Turning to herbs and plant-based nutrition, she restored her health — losing 40 pounds, reversing diabetes, and regaining her vitality.

What began as sharing homemade teas with friends soon evolved into a growing wellness brand inspired by her great-grandfather, a Florida medicine man who crafted remedies for his community. Today, Herbal Renaissance continues that legacy, helping others rediscover the power of nature to heal and thrive.

What inspired you to create Herbal Renaissance, and what personal experience sparked its launch?

Herbal Renaissance was born from my personal healing journey. In 2015, I battled severe allergies, eczema, diabetes, inflammation, and fatigue. Traditional medicine couldn’t give me answers, so I turned to nature. Through herbs, plant-based foods, and holistic wellness, I completely transformed my health — losing 40 pounds, reversing diabetes, and restoring my energy. Friends and coworkers began asking for my teas and herbal blends, and their results inspired me to turn my passion into a business. Later, I learned my great-grandfather was a medicine man in Florida who created healing remedies for the community. I believe Herbal Renaissance is the continuation of that ancestral gift.

When did your passion for holistic health truly begin?

It began the moment I realized nature could heal me in ways medicine couldn’t. I became obsessed with understanding herbs and the body’s natural ability to heal itself. What started as curiosity quickly became purpose. Every book, class, and conversation deepened my desire to share this knowledge — not just as products, but as empowerment for others to reclaim their wellness.

What moment made you decide to turn your personal healing into a business?

When people around me — coworkers, friends, even strangers — started asking for my teas and returning with testimonials of their own healing, I knew it was time. The demand became so great that I couldn’t keep up just making small batches at home. That was my defining moment — realizing this wasn’t just about me anymore. It was a movement to help others rediscover the healing power of nature.

Before founding the brand, what gaps did you see in the wellness or beauty space?

The biggest gap I noticed was the lack of accessibility and simplicity. So many wellness brands make things feel complicated or exclusive. I wanted to create something that spoke to everyday people — products that were approachable, educational, and empowering. My goal was to simplify wellness and reconnect people to the Earth, teaching them how to take ownership of their health instead of depending solely on outside authorities.

What was the hardest part about launching Herbal Renaissance in the beginning?

Starting from scratch with no business background was tough. I had to learn everything — branding, sourcing, packaging, marketing — while juggling a full-time job. There were moments of doubt and financial strain, but I stayed focused on my “why.” Every challenge became a lesson, and every obstacle pushed me closer to my purpose.

How did you push through fear or uncertainty as a founder?

Faith, prayer, and mindset work carried me through. I had to learn that fear and growth often show up together. Whenever I felt uncertain, I reminded myself that I didn’t come this far just to stop now. Mentorship and personal development courses also helped me shift my perspective. Once I learned to master my thoughts, I began mastering my outcomes.

What core values drive Herbal Renaissance, and how do they shape your products?

Our core philosophy is simple: “Healing can be delicious.” Most herbal products on the market taste harsh or bitter, and I wanted to change that. I’ve studied over 700 herbs worldwide to create blends that are both powerful and pleasant. Each product is designed with intention, balance, and love — because love is the most essential ingredient in healing. I want people to enjoy their wellness journey, not dread it.

Where do you draw inspiration when formulating new products?

My inspiration comes from intuition, nature, and the people I serve. I often dream about plants and remedies I’ve never studied before — it’s a very spiritual process. I also listen to feedback from customers and watch how the world is evolving. My goal is always to create solutions that feel fresh, necessary, and soul-centered.

How has your definition of leadership evolved since starting this journey?

At first, I thought leadership was about doing everything for everyone. Now, I understand true leadership is about empowerment — teaching others to find their own power. As a CEO, I focus on being grounded, authentic, and consistent. The more I grow personally, the more I can pour into my team and my community. Leadership, for me, is a reflection of self-mastery.

What has entrepreneurship taught you about yourself?

It’s taught me that I’m capable of more than I ever imagined. Every challenge revealed a strength I didn’t know I had. Entrepreneurship forces you to grow — it pushes you to face your fears, manage your emotions, and trust your instincts. It’s been both the hardest and most rewarding experience of my life.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned as a business owner?

The only real limitations are in your mind. Once I learned to think differently, everything shifted. It’s not about luck — it’s about belief, alignment, and consistency. When you operate from faith instead of fear, opportunities open up in ways you could never predict.

How do you use your platform to educate and empower others?

I use my social media and community events to teach people simple, practical ways to heal. I share tips, rituals, and recipes so people understand that wellness doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Seeing people transform their lives because of something I shared is what fuels me to keep going.

How do you stay grounded in your purpose as your business continues to grow?

I never forget why I started — to help people heal. The messages and testimonials from customers remind me that I’m walking in purpose. Of course, growth and success are beautiful, but they mean nothing if the mission gets lost. Staying rooted in service keeps everything in perspective.

What’s next for Herbal Renaissance?

We’re preparing to launch new products and digital wellness tools this holiday season. These offerings are unlike anything on the market and are designed to deepen the holistic wellness experience. The next chapter for Herbal Renaissance is about expansion — not just in products, but in impact and education.

What legacy do you hope to leave behind as a woman in business and a wellness leader?

I want to be remembered as “A Sovereign Woman Who Reminded Others of Their Own Sovereignty.” Like Harriet Tubman, whom I greatly admire, I want to free people — not from physical chains, but from mental and spiritual limitations. My mission is to help people live abundantly in every area of life: mental, physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual. I want others to know Heaven on Earth is possible when you align with your purpose.
