Detroit-born, Atlanta-based R&B artist GIGI has released her new single, “Make Up,” the second track from her upcoming debut EP Between Us, set for release in October through Marki Records/Warner Records.
Following the sultry tone of her debut single “LMK,” the new track shifts to a more vulnerable space. “Make Up” reflects the challenges of rebuilding trust in a relationship, pairing sleek modern production with a throwback R&B sound. GIGI’s vocal delivery underscores the song’s emotional weight, moving from confession to plea.
“This EP is about the real moments of relationships: the passion, the mistakes, the joy, and the heartbreak. ‘Make Up’ is about admitting when you’ve fallen short and fighting for something you don’t want to lose,” GIGI said in a statement.
GIGI has accumulated nearly 3 million global streams and earned recognition from outlets including Billboard, VIBE, and Rated R&B. With Between Us, she aims to bridge classic R&B influences with a contemporary approach, continuing to establish herself as a rising voice in the genre.
