Global Gaming League Launches First Event With T-Pain, Ne-Yo in Celebrity Showdown

The Global Gaming League (GGL) has announced the launch of its debut event, SZN ZERO, a celebrity-driven gaming competition premiering Friday, Oct. 3, on YouTube.

The opening matchup featured artists T-Pain and Ne-Yo leading their respective squads, the NB Grizzlies and GNTLMNS Gaming, in a lineup of popular titles that included Tetris, Call of Duty, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4, Trackmania, and Tekken 8.

The event also introduced a new team owner, Flavor Flav, who unveiled his family-focused squad. Hip-hop artist Rich the Kid delivered a halftime performance, while comedian and influencer Adam W. hosted. Adam W. was recently profiled in Forbes as one of the nation’s top creators.

We’re redefining gaming with the same cultural power as music, fashion, and sports — while providing a new form of entertainment, and an opportunity for gamers worldwide to have a path to build a career as a gamer, because Everybody Games,” GGL founder and CEO Clinton Sparks said in a statement.

The competition marks the first installment of SZN ZERO, which will continue through the fall and lead to a championship in November.
