Seattle-raised R&B artist Jaymin has released a new single, “WaMu,” as he prepares for the arrival of his debut EP, Sweet Nothings, due Feb. 6. The track is out now through Warner Records and marks his first release of the year.
“WaMu” was produced by Chase N. Cashe and Wu10. The song blends R&B songwriting with hip-hop structure, pairing melodic vocals with rap-influenced phrasing. Jaymin draws on both styles throughout the track, continuing a sound that reflects his musical background.
“I’m a rapper at heart,” Jaymin said. “Even when I’m singing, my lyrics are full of punchlines and metaphors.”
The song centers on mutual commitment and trust in relationships. Its focus on loyalty and emotional clarity aligns with themes Jaymin has explored in earlier releases and plans to continue on Sweet Nothings.
Jaymin’s music is shaped by a mix of gospel influences and hip-hop culture. That background informs his approach to songwriting and performance, which moves between singing and rapping without clear separation.
“WaMu” serves as the lead single for Sweet Nothings and sets the tone for Jaymin’s releases moving into 2026.
