The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Golden State Warriors 127-120 on Friday night in San Francisco.
Minnesota led for much of the game and held off a late push from Golden State in the fourth quarter. The Timberwolves shot efficiently inside and controlled the boards, finishing with a rebounding advantage that helped limit second-chance opportunities.
Julius Randle led Minnesota with 27 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, and made two 3-pointers. Rudy Gobert added 24 points on 11-of-13 shooting and grabbed 14 rebounds, providing consistent scoring in the paint.
Stephen Curry scored a team-high 39 points for Golden State and made six 3-pointers. The Warriors struggled to contain Minnesota’s frontcourt and could not close the gap in the final minutes.
The Timberwolves improved to 16-9 with the win. The Warriors fell to 13-13 on the season.
