Recap: Barbados Day at The Greenwich Polo Club

On Sunday, September 15, Dakari Eli and I attended Barbados Day at the Greenwich Polo Club in Connecticut, and what a time was had.

The Greenwich Polo Club’s final match of the 2024 season on September 15th was a vibrant celebration of Barbadian culture.

Guests at the event were treated to an unforgettable experience as Team BTMI USA (Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc.) brought the lively spirit of Barbados to the forefront. DJ Jus Jay maintained a lively atmosphere with his music, while mixologist Alex Chandler crafted tropical cocktails.

Chef Adrian Myles served a delicious sample menu that captured the essence of Bajan cuisine and was among the day’s highlights. The event also featured Bajan 1966 Rum, adding an authentic Caribbean touch.

Football fans were in for a treat as New York Giants alum and two-time Super Bowl champion Ahmad Bradshaw hosted an autograph signing session.

And to top it off, Sassy’s Fishcakes offered their famous fishcakes, giving attendees a taste of one of Barbados’ signature dishes.

From start to finish, the day was a perfect blend of polo, culture, food, and fun, making it an event to remember at the Greenwich Polo Club.
