New Jersey rapper Sol ChYld has released “if I gave…,” the latest single from her upcoming album REBIRTH. Theory, due Sept. 26 on MNRK Music Group.
The track features longtime collaborator Eric Scott and takes aim at the industry’s recurring money traps. Backed by live instrumentation and a jazz-leaning beat that unravels as it progresses, Sol delivers sharp lines that critique and reflect on financial cycles in music.
“if I gave…” arrives after the project’s first single, “Travel Size,” a collaboration with Chicago rapper and organizer Kaicrewsade. That release highlighted Sol’s ability to tell stories with clarity while confronting change.
The 10-track album showcases a mix of well-known and underground artists. DRAM appears alongside voices like Kaicrewsade, Kingsley Ibeneche, and Scott. The project was recorded without samples, adding to its distinct sound.
