Supergirl Brings Kara Zor-El Back to the Big Screen This Summer

DC Studios will release “Supergirl” in theaters worldwide this summer through Warner Bros. Pictures. The feature film stars Milly Alcock as Supergirl, also known as Kara Zor-El. Craig Gillespie directs from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira.

The story follows Kara Zor-El after a threat reaches her personal life. Facing the impact of that attack, Supergirl teams up with a companion she would not normally choose. Together, they travel across space in pursuit of accountability and balance.

Alcock is joined by Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa. The cast brings together performers from film and television with experience across multiple genres.

“Supergirl” marks the character’s return to theaters as part of DC Studios’ slate of films. The release is positioned as a key chapter in the studio’s ongoing expansion of its screen universe.
