# JAŸ-Z Opens Three-Night Yankee Stadium Run With Surprise Guests and Career-Spanning Set NEW YORK (AP) — JAŸ-Z launched the first of three sold-out performances at Yankee Stadium on Friday night, delivering a career-spanning set that featured surprise appearances from Beyoncé, Blue Ivy Carter, Nas, Alicia Keys, Memphis Bleek, and Jaz-O. The concert marked the opening night of the series, dubbed "JAŸ-Z 30," celebrating the rapper's legacy with a performance that blended early classics, chart-topping hits, and collaborations with longtime friends and family. Beyoncé joined JAŸ-Z to open the show with "Can't Knock the Hustle," the pair's rendition of the 1996 track setting the tone for an evening that revisited much of the Brooklyn native's catalog. JAŸ-Z continued with songs including "Politics as Usual," "Made in America," "Brooklyn's Finest," and "I Love the Dough." Later in the performance, Nas took the stage for a trio of New York hip-hop staples: "Dead Presidents," "The World Is Yours," and "N.Y. State of Mind," before remaining onstage for "Where I'm From." The appearance underscored the longtime relationship between the two rap icons, whose rivalry evolved into one of the genre's most notable reconciliations. Blue Ivy Carter also made an appearance, playing piano to introduce "Feelin It." Alicia Keys later surprised the audience with a performance of "Empire State of Mind," the Grammy-winning anthem that has become synonymous with New York City. Memphis Bleek joined JAŸ-Z for "Coming of Age," while Jaz-O also appeared during the evening. The audience included a wide range of entertainers, athletes, and business leaders. Among those in attendance were LeBron James, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Hart, Adrien Brody, Tobey Maguire, Megan Thee Stallion, Jack Dorsey, DJ Khaled, Swizz Beatz, Jadakiss, La La Anthony, Kelly Rowland, Vanessa Bryant, OG Anunoby, Robinson Canó, Rudy Gay, P.J. Tucker, Fabolous, Sheek Louch, Lukas Haas, and Yan Diomandé. JAŸ-Z also showcased multiple wardrobe changes throughout the night. He opened wearing a Planes baseball cap, a custom CROC baseball jacket designed by June Ambrose, Fear of God trousers, a Planes T-shirt, and his Nike Air Force 1 collaboration sneakers. He later changed into a Givenchy suit layered with a Maison Bootleg piece and Timberland boots before closing the concert in a workwear-inspired ensemble featuring a custom umpire-style proof vest, a striped Japanese denim barn jacket, carpenter pants designed by Ambrose, and Timberland boots. The nearly three-dozen-song set highlighted every stage of JAŸ-Z's career, moving from early recordings such as "Can I Live," "D'evils," "Friend or Foe," and "Regrets" to later releases including "No Church in the Wild" and "Made in America." The celebration continues Saturday with "JAŸ-Z 25" before concluding Sunday with "JAŸ-Z Extra Innings."
