Prime Video has released the trailer for the second season of Cross, offering a first look at the next chapter of the crime drama based on characters created by author James Patterson. The series returns Feb. 11 and continues to follow Washington, D.C., homicide detective and forensic psychologist Alex Cross.
Aldis Hodge reprises the lead role as Cross, who is shown in the trailer recovering from a near-fatal incident before taking on a new investigation. The footage points to a case involving a serial killer and shows Cross facing pressure from both the job and threats tied to his personal life.
Several cast members return for the second season. Isaiah Mustafa is back as Detective John Sampson, Cross’ longtime partner. Alona Tal returns as FBI agent Kayla Craig, while Juanita Jennings again plays Cross’ grandmother, Regina “Nana Mama” Cross. Caleb Elijah and Melody Hurd reprise their roles as Cross’ children, Damon and Janelle. Johnny Ray Gill also returns as Bobby Trey.
Season two also introduces new cast members. Matthew Lillard joins the series as Lance Durand. Jeanine Mason appears as Rebecca, a central figure connected to the season’s main case. Wes Chatham and Michelle C. Bonilla have also been added in recurring roles tied to the investigation.
The new season continues the show’s focus on long-form storytelling, blending police procedure with psychological elements. The first episodes of season two will be released Feb. 11 on Prime Video, followed by weekly episodes through the rest of the season.
