BrownStyle Magazine announced the release of its Women In Media 2026 print and digital issue, honoring more than 100 women of color working across journalism, public relations, digital storytelling, and creative leadership.
The annual edition recognizes women shaping public discourse and influencing how stories are produced and distributed.
Media executive and author Amy DuBois Barnett joins the project as guest editor-at-large. Barnett, author of IF I RULED THE WORLD, lends editorial guidance to an issue focused on visibility and legacy.
“Women in media are not just participants in the industry,” Barnett said. “We are architects of culture. Being part of Women in Media 2026 is about amplifying voices that are building legacy and expanding what leadership looks like in this space.”
Journalist and media personality Loren LoRosa appears on the cover. Her work spans broadcast and digital platforms, including The Breakfast Club and Brown Girl Grinding.
“Representation in media matters deeply in front of the camera and behind it,” LoRosa said. “To be featured on the cover of Women in Media 2026 is an honor because it reflects the collective power of women who see each other and hold hands as we walk the same path.”
The cover was photographed by Patrick Neree.
Tweety Elitou, editor-in-chief of BrownStyle Magazine, said the issue centers on leadership and accountability in storytelling.
“This issue is about honoring women who lead with purpose and reshape the media landscape with integrity,” Elitou said. “Having Amy DuBois Barnett contribute as Guest Editor-at-Large and featuring Loren LoRosa on the cover represents the very spirit of what this issue stands for—excellence, evolution, and impact.”
The Women In Media 2026 issue will be available in print and digital formats beginning March 9, 2026. Select features will be published online at BrownStyleMagazine.com.
