Born and raised in Rochester, New York, V. Ciannii has been making music since he was 11 years old. His older brother, who owned a recording studio, introduced him to recording and helped spark his passion for music.
Inspired by Jadakiss, Big Pun, Meek Mill, 38 Spesh, and Benny The Butcher, V. Ciannii is known for honest lyrics and music based on real-life experiences. He is also a cofounder of RMG Records, a label he started with his two brothers.
His latest single, “Shots Fired,” features Millyz and Tony Sunshine. The song was inspired by one of Tony Sunshine’s older records. V. Ciannii asked producer Chris Gunna to recreate the beat using a sample, and once he heard it, he knew Millyz and Tony Sunshine were the right artists for the track.
V. Ciannii has performed at Rolling Loud, Innovative Field, and Blue Cross Arena. One of his biggest achievements was selling out his “V. Ciannii n Friends” concert.
Coming from Rochester has made it harder to get noticed, but it has also motivated him to keep pushing forward. His performance on On the Radar helped introduce his music to more hip-hop fans.
As he looks ahead, V. Ciannii is focused on making 2026 his biggest year yet. Guided by the saying “Money ain’t everything, but everything costs,” he hopes to continue growing his career while creating opportunities for his brothers through RMG Records.
