Brandy and Monica, the GRAMMY Award-winning artists behind the landmark 1998 hit “The Boy Is Mine,” officially announced their first-ever joint tour today on CBS Mornings. The 24-city arena tour, produced by Black Promoters Collective, will launch October 16 and run through December 7, marking a historic moment more than 25 years in the making.
The tour celebrates the enduring success of “The Boy Is Mine,” which spent 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The record placed Brandy and Monica among a small circle of artists—including Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey—who have achieved such long-standing chart dominance.
Joining the tour as special guests are GRAMMY-winning singer Kelly Rowland, GRAMMY-winning artist Muni Long, and Jamal Roberts, the newly crowned winner of American Idol Season 23.
“This really is a full-circle moment,” Brandy said in a statement. “Monica and I coming together again isn’t just about the music—it’s about honoring where we came from and how far we’ve both come.”
Monica added, “The love that ‘The Boy Is Mine’ continues to receive means everything to me. This tour is a celebration of our history, our impact, and the fans who have grown with us.”
The announcement follows the pair’s 2024 appearance in Ariana Grande’s “The Boy Is Mine” music video and their feature on the official remix. The collaboration introduced their iconic song to a new generation and earned them a GRAMMY nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
“Bringing Brandy and Monica together for this tour is more than just a moment—it’s a cultural homecoming,” said Shelby Joyner, president of Black Promoters Collective.
The Boy Is Mine Tour will feature full live-band performances, individual sets, and special joint moments. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 27, 2025, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.com. Presales begin Thursday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time using the code BPC.
The tour promises to be a landmark celebration of two influential voices who helped shape the sound of R&B.
