ALLBLK Previews New Comedy-Drama Film ‘Operation: Aunties’

ALLBLK, AMC Networks’ streaming service focused on Black television and film, has released a first look at its upcoming original comedy-drama Operation: Aunties. The film will premiere exclusively on ALLBLK on Friday, July 11.

The story follows Dr. Carol Cleavers, a college professor and blockchain expert, played by Melissa De Sousa (The Best Man). When her family is affected by a dangerous crime, she discovers a trafficking ring using a rideshare app to target women.

After law enforcement shows little urgency in solving the case, Cleavers turns to her close friend, retired detective Sharon O’Hara (Tisha Campbell, Martin, Act Your Age), and her niece Aminah (Amiyah Scott, Star), a skilled technology expert. Together, the three women take action to stop the criminals themselves.

The film is directed by Wendy Raquel Robinson, an Emmy Award-winning actress and producer.

Operation: Aunties is executive produced by TJ Ali for Galleryville Entertainment and Latisha Fortune and Sheena D. Carter for Big Little Sis Media. Brett Dismuke, Nikki Love, and Kate Farrell serve as executive producers for ALLBLK.
