Busta Rhymes will receive the 2,818th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, Aug. 1, at 11:30 a.m. PT. The ceremony will take place at 6201 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of East Town.
Rhymes, a multi-platinum rapper, producer, and performer, will be honored in the category of Recording. The event will feature guest speakers Chris Rock, LL Cool J, and Chuck D. Radio host and Hollywood Walk-of-Famer Big Boy will serve as emcee.
The ceremony will stream live exclusively at walkoffame.com.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which oversees the Walk of Fame on behalf of the City of Los Angeles, continues its tradition of recognizing individuals who have made lasting contributions to entertainment. Since the first star was unveiled in 1960, the Walk of Fame has attracted millions of visitors from across the globe.
Rhymes joins a list of recording artists who have received stars for their influence and work in the music industry. The event is free for the public.
