Carmelo Anthony to Stay Put in New York

Carmelo Anthony

Much to the chagrin of Lakers and Bulls fans, Carmelo Anthony will announce that he will be rocking the New York Knicks’ blue and orange next season.

Officially, NBA player cannot sign contracts until tomorrow so sources including the team’s new coach Derek Fisher and Carmelo’s agent Leon Rose denied that a current agreement is in place.

The Knicks who can pay Anthony $129 million over five years outbid the Lakers’s max offer of $96 million for four years. The difference is a little over million per year.

Experts believe that he was waiting for a final decision from Lebron James with hopes that Miami Heat star might join him in New York.
