DELEÓN Tequila staged a helipad performance above the Houston skyline during the AfroTech Conference 2025.
Major League DJz headlined as DELEÓN framed the set as part of its Bold Spirits, Rise platform. The group is described as “renowned for pioneering the African Dance Music movement and for mentoring and uplifting emerging DJs globally.”
Houston’s Maiya Papaya, Los Angeles DJ Gianni Carter, choreographer-turned-DJ Shay Latukolan, and UnitedMasters contest winner Sibby Liv joined the lineup.
“Boldness is at the heart of DELEÓN Tequila, it’s reflected in our technique, our creativity, and the communities we champion,” said Ari Anderman, DELEÓN Tequila Brand Director.

The activation extended through AfroTech nightlife programming, including Jerk x Jollof, Blavity House Party RNB Edition, Blavity House Party Block Party, Mashup Sessions, and Fam Jam.
DELEÓN said its Bold Spirits, Rise platform is focused on creating opportunities for emerging DJs to push boundaries, access mentorship, and get performance stages.
The brand said additional events are planned in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Chicago. The company said it encourages people of legal drinking age to celebrate responsibly.
