Doja Cat will return to the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 7 with the first televised performance of her new single, “Jealous Type.”
The five-time VMA winner and 2021 host last appeared in 2023, delivering a medley of “Attention,” “Paint the Town Red” and “Demons.”
She will join Conan Gray, Jelly Roll, Post Malone, and Tate McRae on the UBS Arena stage in New York. LL COOL J will host the ceremony, airing live coast-to-coast at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS, simulcast on MTV, and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S.
Gray is set to perform “Vodka Cranberry” from his new album Wishbone. Jelly Roll, nominated in four categories including Best Alternative and Best Country, will vie for his first Moon Person. Post Malone, a six-time winner, will return for his first performance since 2018 and is up for Best Collaboration with Blake Shelton for “Pour Me A Drink.” McRae will make her VMA debut, earning four first-time nominations, including Song of the Year for “Sports car.”
Nominations for Best Group and Song of the Summer will be announced Aug. 29.
