In honor of Women’s History Month, ESSENCE has announced its powerhouse lineup of female artists for the 2026 ESSENCE Festival of Culture® in New Orleans, taking place from July 3-5.
Highlighting the event is Grammy Award-winning legend Patti LaBelle, who will serve as one of the festival’s main attractions. With a career that has spanned decades and influenced countless artists, LaBelle’s powerful voice and dynamic performances make her a defining figure in soul music.
Joining her is Cardi B, making her festival debut, known for her significant impact on hip-hop and chart-topping hits. The lineup also features Latto, a rising star in Southern rap who embodies the new generation of female rappers.
Kehlani, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, will connect with fans through her relatable and emotionally resonant lyrics. Additionally, R&B icons Brandy and Monica will return, celebrating their remarkable careers and enduring influence in the genre.
The 2026 ESSENCE Festival of Culture aims to showcase these exceptional women while offering attendees a variety of cultural experiences, including daytime programming at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
Tickets for the Evening Concert Series are now available, and festival-goers are encouraged to plan their visits early to participate in this celebration of women’s contributions to music and culture.
