Halle Bailey Opens Up About Motherhood, Music, and New Beginnings on “The Jennifer Hudson Show”

Halle Bailey joined “The Jennifer Hudson Show” on Thursday, Oct. 23, sharing personal moments from her life, career, and upcoming projects.

Bailey reflected on a story about her sister, singer Chlöe Bailey, before describing the nerves she felt singing the national anthem at her first Los Angeles Dodgers game. She said the moment tested her composure but reminded her of how far she’s come as a performer.

The singer and actor also spoke about her growing advocacy for postpartum awareness. She discussed the importance of supporting mothers across generations and said her 2-year-old son continues to teach her patience and self-discovery.

Bailey previewed her debut solo album, calling it a project rooted in healing and self-reflection. The album features collaborations with an all-female lineup, including her sister Chlöe, H.E.R., and GloRilla.

“It was important to create a space where women could lift each other up,” Bailey said.

Hudson asked whether Bailey’s heart leans more toward music or film. Bailey shared that she finds meaning in both but feels inspired by the storytelling opportunities each provides.

She also offered a glimpse into her upcoming work on screen and described the joy of being on set with cast and crew.
