HONEY CHILE Entertainment has acquired the film and television rights to Kristina Forest’s “The Greene Sisters” trilogy from Penguin Random House, setting the stage for a new romantic film franchise centered on Black sisterhood and modern love.
The deal includes The Neighbor Favor, The Partner Plot, and The Love Lyric, three novels that follow accomplished sisters balancing career goals, family dynamics, and relationships. While each book stands alone, the trilogy forms a connected portrait of contemporary Black romance that has drawn readers worldwide.
The adaptation will be led by Felicia Pride, founder of HONEY CHILE Entertainment. Pride will write and produce the first installment and serve as producer on the remaining two films.
“I’ve been a fan of Felicia Pride’s work for years, and we share the same mission of creating life-affirming art featuring Black women,” Forest said. “I’m so thrilled that Honey Chile has optioned The Greene Sisters series, and I’m excited for all that’s to come.”
Forest’s trilogy has earned praise for its portrayal of Black love and sisterhood through characters whose ambitions and vulnerabilities shape each story.

“At HONEY CHILE, we’ve always centered the audience and the power of Black storytelling,” Pride said. “Kristina is such a smart writer whose work completely draws you into her worlds. Her Greene Sisters trilogy captures romance, ambition, and partnership in ways that feel aspirational and deeply familiar. As we mark five years in operation, our commitment to telling layered, culturally resonant stories—the kind born in our living rooms, hair salons, and girls’ trips—has never been stronger. We’re excited for this next chapter.”
The acquisition expands the company’s slate as it marks its fifth year in business. Founded in 2020, HONEY CHILE focuses on developing and producing stories by, for, and about Black women 40 and older across film, television, digital, audio, and publishing.
