After a four-year absence, KFC is bringing back a fan favorite. Potato Wedges will return to U.S. menus Aug. 18, along with the chain’s Hot & Spicy wings, according to multiple reports.
The seasoned, thick-cut fries were removed from the menu in 2020, replaced by KFC’s Secret Recipe Fries. The change drew mixed reactions from customers, with many voicing disappointment over the loss of the crispy potato side.
The Hot & Spicy wings, also discontinued in 2020, were known for their peppery coating and were a go-to item for heat seekers.

Both items will be available for a limited time while supplies last, making their return a short-lived treat for those who missed them.
KFC has not confirmed if the reintroduction could lead to a permanent comeback, but the move reflects a growing trend among fast-food chains to revive nostalgic menu items for short promotional runs.
For fans of the wedges and wings, Aug. 18 might be the day to head to the drive-thru before they’re gone again.
