Kyrie Irving and ANTA Debut HÉLÀ Code and Apparel Line During NYFW

Kyrie Irving is stepping into the fashion spotlight this week, joining ANTA for a New York Fashion Week takeover that blends basketball, culture, and style.

On Sept. 12, 214 Lafayette Street will host an all-day activation built around Irving’s next chapter with the Chinese sportswear brand. The event will showcase HÉLÀ Season 2 apparel and introduce the HÉLÀ Code, a new shoe line debuting in five distinct colorways.

The shoes carry names like Kairoglyphics, Astral Eye, and Monotone Codes, each drawing from themes of heritage, vision, and transformation. Irving’s design choices lean on performance details — cushioned midsoles, grippy herringbone outsoles, and supportive uppers — while pulling influence from skateboarding and cultural symbolism.

The apparel pushes the same philosophy. Modular pieces convert to suit different environments: jumpsuits that break down into shorts, puffers hiding removable vests, and layers built for adaptability. The palette — Earthen Clay, Ember Orange, and Feather Blue — ties the line together under the themes of resilience, provision, and metamorphosis.

For Irving, the project is more than a clothing drop. It’s an extension of his creative partnership with ANTA, a statement about where sport meets identity, and an attempt to weave cultural storytelling into everyday wear.

The day is split into three parts: a private media preview, an open public experience in the afternoon, and an invitation-only VIP showcase in the evening.

Irving’s fashion week moment signals a broader ambition: pushing beyond the court to shape how performance gear and cultural expression can coexist.
