R&B and pop artist LAILA! has teamed up with Teezo Touchdown for “ANGEL,” a new single and music video released Friday through three times LOUDER/Warner Records.
Co-written and lead-produced by LAILA!, “ANGEL” marks a new step in her career as she takes on production for another artist on one of her own songs. She built the track’s production and worked with Tyler Cole on the strings, creating a sound that combines her R&B melodies with Teezo Touchdown’s theatrical style.
The song is accompanied by a music video filmed in St. Thomas. The two artists appear in hillside streets, poolside settings, and waterfront locations as the video moves from daylight into the evening.
The release follows LAILA!’s selection to Billboard’s 21 Under 21 class for 2026, marking her second consecutive appearance on the list. It also comes after her debut album, “Gap Year!,” which was included among the Best of 2024 selections by Pitchfork, VIBE, and Complex.
She has also gained attention with “Like That!” and “Not My Problem.” Both songs reached the top five of Billboard’s TikTok Top 50 for six weeks, while also appearing on the Hot R&B Songs chart.
With “ANGEL,” LAILA! continues to expand her role as a singer, songwriter, and producer while building on the momentum of her debut album and recent releases.
