Singer/musician Masego recently awed crowds during the weekend with three nights of sold-out, incredible performances at New York’s historic venue, Blue Note.
Fortunately, I, along with a photographer, was able to attend the Saturday night show, and it was nothing short of extraordinary.
The room was packed wall to wall with eager fans awaiting his arrival on stage. From start to finish, the 30-year-old multifaceted entertainer kept the crowd fully engaged throughout the night. Offering a combination of jazz music with rounds of comedy, he showcased a wide range of talent in both creative art forms during his time on stage.
I was completely impressed by his ability to play multiple instruments, each at the highest level of skill. To say he’s a musical genius is definitely an understatement. The night was filled with rounds of applause and laughter. Along with a few musical freestyles with his band, he performed a few of his most well-known hits.
Masego gave his fans an unexpected, well-received encore before ending the evening, leaving the audience wanting more.
If you are ever traveling to New York City or live close by, plan ahead to attend Blue Note New York (tickets sell out fast) for a night of extraordinary music, marvelous food, and one of the best crowds on the East Coast. You won’t be disappointed.
