This week, MTVU’s Random Acts, teamed up with Usher, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Nick Cannon and Darren Criss to surprise several worthy students across the country with a kind gesture to celebrate the end of the school year.
Random Acts of mtvU continues today with hip-hop phenoms Macklemore & Ryan Lewis sneaking onto the campus of St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia to surprise ultimate fan Julia Collins, a sophomore at the school.
Inspired by the duo’s music to work with the St. Joseph’s University “Summer Scholars” program, which supports LGBT homeless youth, Collins has also spent her past two spring breaks volunteering.
As a reward for her selflessness, Collins got to hang with the duo, including a giant group hug, and was given two VIP tickets to see them perform at the Hangout Music Fest this weekend where Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are on the lineup with an impressive number of other awesome acts.
