Newark’s NJPAC to Host Raphael Saadiq’s No Bandwidth Tour

Newark will welcome Raphael Saadiq to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at 8 p.m. for a stop on his No Bandwidth tour. The one-person show strips away the backing band to spotlight Saadiq’s voice, storytelling, and multi-instrumental skill.

The performance explores his three decades in music, blending personal reflection with career milestones. In recent shows, Saadiq honored his late brother and former Tony! Toni! Toné! bandmate D’Wayne Wiggins, offering audiences a rare glimpse into the emotional foundation of his artistry.

Saadiq has released five solo albums, earned three Grammy Awards, and received more than 20 additional Grammy nominations. His work has been recognized by the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes, and his influence as an artist, songwriter, and producer has helped move more than 30 million records worldwide.

He began his career at 18, performing with Prince and Sheila E. His rise accelerated with Tony! Toni! Toné!, whose songs such as “If I Had No Loot” and “Anniversary” became R&B staples of the 1990s. His solo debut, Instant Vintage (2002), solidified his ability to fuse classic soul with contemporary sounds seamlessly. As a producer, he has contributed to landmark projects including D’Angelo’s Voodoo and Solange’s A Seat at the Table. His own Jimmy Lee (2019) drew widespread critical praise, and his collaborations on Beyoncé’s Renaissance and Cowboy Carter earned him eight recent Grammy nominations.

Now entering his fifth decade in music, Saadiq continues to influence the sound of pop, R&B, and soul.

Tickets for the Newark performance are available through NJPAC.org, by calling 888.GO.NJPAC (888.466.5722), or at the NJPAC Box Office, 1 Center St., Newark.
