Offset was hospitalized after a shooting outside a South Florida casino, while conflicting reports about fellow artist Lil Tjay circulated online and were later challenged by officials and representatives.
The shooting occurred Monday evening near the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Offset was transported to a hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening and was “closely monitored,” according to a spokesperson.
Authorities said at least two people were detained as investigators worked to determine what led to the gunfire. Police indicated there was no ongoing threat to the public.
In the hours after the shooting, social media posts claimed Lil Tjay had been shot or directly involved. Those claims spread rapidly but were not supported by official statements.
A representative for Lil Tjay said he “was not shot nor involved” in the incident, urging the public to rely on verified information.
Separately, Lil Tjay was arrested in Florida on a misdemeanor charge related to disorderly conduct following a fight, according to law enforcement records cited by media reports. His attorney denied any connection to the shooting itself.
The incident drew added attention due to past public tensions between the two artists, including a dispute over alleged unpaid money that surfaced online in 2025.
Police have not identified a suspect or disclosed a motive. Details about how the shooting unfolded remain unclear as the investigation continues.
Offset, a member of the rap group Migos, is expected to recover, according to his representatives. No further official updates were immediately released.
