Ablaze with fury, minorities of the world are definitely in their feelings as of late. The ageless injustice and cultural appropriation that was always there, but is obviously attempting to deplete our collective spirit must be addressed.

Long before Grammy Award Nominated Recording Artist Raheem Devaughn’s ascent to stardom, he and his lyrical partner in crime Wes Felton blazed a fiery trail in DC with their group The CrossRhodes.

Inspired by the unlawful murder of Freddie Gray, Raheem DeVaughn and Wes Felton have done people of color a solid and put the iniquities to music.

Sons of a jazz cellist and pianist respectively, their new single “Footprints On The Moon”, (produced by Kev Brown) is the product of a greatly anticipated reunion.

Not a new collaboration to most, the two have come together once again as The Crossrhodes to lend a much-needed voice to the melanized experience.

Reminiscent of Marvin Gaye, the silky neo-soul vocalist Raheem DeVaughn engages in a potent blend with Wes Felton’s socially conscious hip-hop wordplay.

Damned right, the revolution will be televised, and with a genuine banger as the soundtrack.
