Skims Named Official Underwear Partner of the NBA, WNBA & USA Basketball

Whether we agree with their relevancy in culture and entertainment, or not, the Kardashians keep their names (and businesses) in the headlines. Today, the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and SKIMS announced a multiyear partnership, making SKIMS the official underwear partner of the WNBA!

Following a momentous 2023 season, and the rise in popularity of the WNBA, with record-breaking numbers, high-level partnerships are beginning to flow into the League’s financial ecosystem. Respectfully. As seen in this past season alone, WNBA players have made fashion statements throughout the Summer – and offseason. From their tunnel entrances during pre-game, to their public appearances seen across social media, the ladies of the WNBA are showing out.

“The athletes of the WNBA are trendsetters and cultural influencers. There is no better time to be joining the league as a partner and we are excited to work with SKIMS, a brand that has quickly cemented its status as a cultural centerpiece, to elevate each other’s brands and celebrate female athletes and their impact in society.” – Cathy Engelbert, WNBA Commissioner

As with many partnerships, SKIMS will gain exposure through the WNBA’s various activations, events, on-court arena branding, national broadcasts, social media, and more.

Regarding the NBA and USA Basketball, it was partially revealed that SKIMS plans to show up “in unexpected ways” at key events throughout the NBA season including the In-Season Tournament and All-Star weekend.

“Together, SKIMS and the NBA will connect people of all backgrounds through fashion, sport, and talent and I look forward to seeing the partnership thrive.”Kim Kardashian

In case you missed it, SKIMS launched its men’s division recently, co-starring NBA All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The men’s collection is currently offering ultra-soft bottoms, tank tops, and t-shirts.

SKIMS has quickly become one of our most culturally-influential brands,” stated NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver.
