The Harlem Globetrotters: Secrets of the City Debuts With Cairo Adventure

The Harlem Globetrotters are exploring new locations with their global stage, taking their talents outside the basketball court in the travel series, The Harlem Globetrotters: Secrets of the City. Premiering tonight at 8 pm EST, the series will showcase the team’s adventure, combining sports, culture, and history while traveling across continents. Each episode highlights the connections the team has built during nearly a century of touring in more than 120 countries.

The series takes a documentary approach, offering viewers local perspectives on food, tradition, and daily life. It also focuses on the ways Brown and Black cultures are represented and celebrated around the world. Cities featured in the first season include Cairo, London, Stuttgart, and Sydney.

The premiere episode, “Cairo,” places the team in Egypt’s capital. The Globetrotters ride ATVs through desert terrain toward the pyramids and step into Khan el-Khalili, the city’s historic marketplace. Cory “Thunder” Law pauses the tour for a close look at Egypt’s coffee rituals, considered among the oldest traditions of their kind. The episode also features Darnell “Speedy” Artis, Kaylin “West” Sunshine, and Alex “Moose” Weekes.

The Harlem Globetrotters: Secrets of the City opens a new chapter for the team, offering audiences a view of culture and connection that extends beyond the court.
