The Smoker’s Club Fest Comes to SoCal with Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky, SchoolBoy Q, and More

The Smoker’s Club took over Glen Helen Amphitheater in Southern California April 30th with the best in blog era hip hop to the latest in SoundCloud rap, featuring headlining performances from Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, Schoolboy Q, Wiz Khalifa, Larry June as well as incredible sets from Clam Casino, Curren$y and many more.

Kid Cudi headlined the Grabba Leaf main stage for the night sporting a blonde wig and played hits “Tequila Shots”, “Memories”, “Pursuit of Happiness” and more, as well as a slew of new songs for the first time including “Dive,” “September 16th,” and “Do What I Want.” A$AP Rocky’s performance included pyro and flamethrowers as he played chart topping fan favorites such as “Praise the Lord”, “L$D”, “Yamborghini High”, with Rihanna watching from side stage.

SchoolBoy Q took the stage for the first time in two years to perform his first major label album Oxymoron — which peaked at number one on the charts following its release in 2014, and earned the TDE rapper a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album. Wiz Khalifa performed hits from his critically acclaimed 2010 mixtape Kush & Orange Juice, and ended the set with his chart-topping single “Black and Yellow.”

Tyler the Creator and Taco (Travis Bennett) also showed up to watch Lupe Fiasco’s set featuring tracks from his debut studio album, Food & Liquor. 2 Chainz got the crowd hyped up with hits like “It’s a Vibe”, “Birthday Song”, “I’m Different” and many more.

Additionally, heavy hitters including Larry June, Ferg, Wale, Rico Nasty, Joey Bada$$, and many more lit up the Smoker’s Club stage with fire sets. Clams Casino, Curren$y, SoFaygo, Pi’erre Bourne and more brought the latest to the Mary Jane stage to the energetic diehard fans.

In addition, Danny Brown brought out jpegmafia to perform an unreleased track for the crowd and announced they are doing an album together. LA’s own Dom Kennedy played fan favorites like “When I Come Around”, “My Type of Party” and “Rollin Papers”.
