Tyler James Williams appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Wednesday, Dec. 3, where he discussed Thanksgiving habits, mac and cheese, and why he prefers guests out of his home by 8 p.m.
Williams walked Hudson through his approach to the holiday meal, including mac and cheese and what he called his rules for the day. Hudson asked him to try her mac and cheese on set, and his response drew laughs from the audience.
Williams also spoke about Abbott Elementary, noting the cast’s outlook heading into Season 5 and his work behind the camera. He reflected on directing an episode and the pace of collaborating with young actors.
He also addressed the attention he received for his Halloween costume modeled after filmmaker Ryan Coogler, saying the look was meant as a simple tribute.
