UNINTERRUPTED, Indeed, LeBron James Family Foundation Announces Skills Summit In Akron

UNINTERRUPTED, the storytelling brand founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter within Fulwell Entertainment, together with Indeed and the LeBron James Family Foundation, announced The Main Thing Skills Summit, a one-day job and career resource event aimed at local job seekers.

The event is set for Jan. 23 at House Three Thirty in Akron, Ohio. It will be free and open to the public with registration.

Organizers said the summit is designed to move beyond a standard job fair format. The program will focus on helping participants identify skills, build them, and present them to employers. Indeed will provide career tools and resources, while attendees will have access to networking opportunities and discussions with leaders from Sherwin-Williams, House Three Thirty, Chase, and Garda.

The agenda also includes a conversation with Cleveland-based restaurateur Doug Petkovic, centered on career growth, transferable skills, and leadership. The evening will close with an after-party during House Three Thirty’s R&B Sing-Along.

The summit is based on the LeBron James Family Foundation’s community work in Akron and is supported by Indeed’s job-matching platform. Organizers said the goal is to create pathways to employment and support long-term outcomes for job seekers in the region.
