50 Cent Used to Intern for the Atlanta Hawks Owner?

Kindness and loyalty can go a long way in life and you may never know where it can take you. In a recent video post on Instagram, Atlanta Hawks owner, Jesse Itzler, shared an important lesson he learned from a young Curtis Jackson. Yes, the Hip Hop mogul and superstar, 50 Cent, was once an intern!

Back in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Itzler founded Alphabet City Sports Records, a music marketing company that he later sold. But prior to his blow-up in the Hip Hop scene, 50 Cent was a young intern full of potential and dreams. “I have this kid who’s a boxer, who wants to be a rapper, but he wants to get some business experience. So we made a deal that he would intern for me for whatever experience I could give him, and in exchange, he’d help me write these jingles that I was doing at the time.”

In response to his video, 50 took to Instagram to confirm that the story was “100% true,” and even claimed that Jessie was his guy.

Mr. Izler goes on to share a moment when he realized 50 Cent was a guest on one of the private airplanes his company, Marquis Jet, owns. Izler decided to ask the pilot to write a note which read: “50, you’re never gonna believe this. This is Jesse from the jingle company and you’re on one of my airplanes.” The very next day, 50 made sure that he would only fly with Marquis Jet; making it a contractual agreement. The move not only proved 50’s loyalty but his humbleness, regardless of how big of a star he’s grown to be, he remembers those who have helped him along the way.
