Hip-hop veteran Jim Jones marks the 20th anniversary of his debut album with At The Church Steps, a 17-track project reflecting on his journey and growth.
Blending Harlem and Bronx influences with introspective lyrics, the album opens with “Jomo,” reaffirming Jones’ authenticity. The lead single, “This Sh!t Still In Harlem” featuring Suzi, captures his early hustle over a drill beat. Songs like “Seen It All” and “Made It Out” highlight his struggles and success.
The closing track, “Church Steps,” features activist Dr. Benjamin Chavis Muhammad, emphasizing unity and perseverance. Collaborations with Conway The Machine, Fabolous, Dave East, and others add depth.
Jones’ latest release cements his legacy in hip-hop. At The Church Steps is now streaming on all platforms.
