The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards are gearing up with a lineup of stars confirmed to take the stage as presenters, performers, and hosts.
The awards show, hosted by LL COOL J, will air live Sunday, Sept. 7, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from UBS Arena in New York. Viewers can tune in on CBS, simulcast on MTV, and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S.
Presenters scheduled for the night include Ashlee Simpson Ross, Brittany Snow, Ciara, Drew Barrymore, EJAE of K-Pop Demon Hunter, REI AMI, and Audrey Nuna of Huntr/x, Ice Spice, Jessica Simpson, Latto, Livvy Dunne, Malin Akerman, Megan Stalter, Nikki Glaser, and Paris Hilton.
The VMAs Pre-Show, hosted by Nessa and Kevan Kenney, kicks off live at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. Global girl group KATSEYE will make their VMA debut, performing “Gnarly” and “Gabriela” from their EP Beautiful Chaos. The group earned its first Billboard 200 Top 5 entry this year and scored nominations for MTV PUSH Performance of the Year and Best Group. The pre-show will air across MTV, BET, BET Her, Comedy Central, CMT, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land, and VH1.
For the first time, the VMAs Extended Play Stage, presented by Doritos®, will move in-show. The spotlight will feature first-time nominees Bailey Zimmerman with The Kid LAROI, Lola Young, and Megan Moroney.
- Bailey Zimmerman with The Kid LAROI: Zimmerman is nominated for Best Collaboration and Song of the Summer, while The Kid LAROI is up for multiple awards. Both will perform together in their VMA debut.
- Lola Young: The British singer-songwriter will perform her track “Messy.” She is nominated for Best New Artist and Best Alternative.
- Megan Moroney: The country artist will perform “6 Months Later.” She is also nominated in the new Best Country category for her No. 1 single “Am I Okay?”
The 2025 VMAs promise a night of performances, debuts, and appearances from some of the most talked-about names in music and entertainment.
