Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host a public literary event highlighting storytelling, leadership, and entrepreneurship on April 18 at the Newark Public Library.
The event, titled “Delta Authors on Tour,” is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature six women authors whose work addresses culture, personal growth, and community impact. Admission is free.
Organizers said the program is part of the sorority’s National Arts and Letters Commission initiative, which promotes literacy and creative expression. The North Jersey Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta is hosting the Eastern Region stop.
Attendees will have opportunities to meet authors, purchase books, and attend a panel discussion.
The conversation will be led by Victoria Christopher Murray, an ESSENCE bestselling author and three-time NAACP Image Award nominee.
