Rapper Ice Spice was involved in a confrontation at a Los Angeles McDonald’s this week after another customer approached her table and reportedly struck her, according to published video accounts and comments from her attorney.
Footage circulated Friday appeared to show a woman walking toward the artist, whose legal name is Isis Gaston, while she was seated inside the restaurant. Moments later, the woman hit Ice Spice, setting off a brief fight that drew attention from people nearby.
Attorney Bradford Cohen called the encounter an unprovoked attack and said the matter was reported to the Los Angeles Police Department. He said the rapper’s team is considering both criminal and civil action and is also reviewing whether security measures at the restaurant were sufficient.
Authorities had not publicly confirmed details of any report Friday.
Additional video posted online appeared to show tensions continuing outside the restaurant, where several people argued before another short scuffle began.
The woman identified in entertainment media accounts challenged that version of events, saying she approached Ice Spice to offer praise and became upset after what she described as disrespectful treatment.
Ice Spice gained national attention in 2022 after the breakout success of “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and has since become a prominent figure in rap and pop culture.
