Prime Video has released the first full trailer for Spider-Noir, the upcoming live-action Marvel-inspired series starring Nicolas Cage. The trailer gives audiences an early look at a darker take on the Spider-Man universe, set in 1930s New York.
The series follows Ben Reilly, a private investigator with a troubled past who once served as the city’s only masked hero. The preview leans into detective drama, shadowy streets, and fast-moving action, offering a different style than recent Spider-Man films.
Cage leads the cast in what marks his first starring television role. Fans may recognize his voice work as Spider-Man Noir in the animated Spider-Verse films, making this project a return to familiar territory.
One of the most talked-about details is the release format. Viewers will be able to stream the series in two versions:
- Authentic Black & White
- True-Hue Full Color
That dual presentation aims to capture the classic noir mood while giving audiences a modern option.
The trailer also hints at a gallery of villains, rising crime, and a city on edge. Early reactions online have focused on the visual style and Cage’s hard-boiled performance.
Spider-Noir premieres in the United States on MGM+ on May 25, followed by a global Prime Video launch on May 27.
For viewers looking for something beyond the standard superhero formula, this may be one of the more interesting releases of the spring.
