R&B artist Simone Green has released her latest single, “Black Queen,” now available on streaming and download platforms worldwide.
The track is a statement of confidence, identity, and self-worth. Built around themes of empowerment, “Black Queen” celebrates Black womanhood through honesty, resilience, and pride. The song arrived near the close of Black History Month, adding another layer of meaning to its message.
“Black Queen” also serves as the title track for Green’s upcoming album, which is set for global release on Aug. 8, 2026, her birthday.
According to Green, the song reflects growth and self-recognition.
She describes “Black Queen” as a breakthrough and a return to self, presenting strength not as something performed for others but as something lived from within.
The music video expands on that message. Directed by Tiffany Ray and Arnell Newman, the visual draws from Green’s personal life and daily experiences.
“The video was inspired by my real life — an authentic, unapologetic glimpse into what it means to walk in my shoes as a Black woman,” Green said.
She said the video highlights several parts of her world, including her role as director of a legal staffing firm, her commitment to health and training, and time spent with her husband and friends.
“Every scene reflects the fullness of who I am—a modern Black queen who moves with purpose, grace, strength, and celebration,” she said.
The “Black Queen” video is now airing on BET Soul, BET Her, and other BET network platforms.
With the single already gaining attention, Green is building momentum toward the release of her full album later this year.
