Lil Baby returned to his hometown over Mother’s Day weekend with a community event designed to celebrate mothers across Atlanta, offering free flowers, handwritten cards, and family photo opportunities for local families.
The event, titled “Mother’s Day Flowers,” invited children to create custom bouquets and personal messages for their mothers in tribute to what Lil Baby described as the “original Mrs. Trendsetters” in their lives. Families also posed for red-carpet-style portraits that served as keepsakes from the celebration.
The Atlanta rapper said the event carried personal meaning because of his upbringing by a single mother.
“To me, mothers are the original Mrs. Trendsetters,” Lil Baby said. “Being raised by a single mom, I know first-hand how hard women work to make it happen for their kids, so this was just a small way for them to show their moms some appreciation.”
The Mother’s Day activation extends the message behind Lil Baby’s latest single, “Mrs. Trendsetter,” which recently reached No. 1 on Mediabase’s Urban Radio Chart. The song’s official music video, directed by Mikey Rare, has surpassed 7 million views on YouTube and centers on women celebrating confidence, ambition and solidarity through a “Trendsetters” group chat storyline.
The track appears on Lil Baby’s December 2025 mixtape, The Leaks, which marked the rapper’s fifth No. 1 project on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart. The release also reached No. 5 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 17 on the Billboard 200.
Linking the success of “Mrs. Trendsetter” to a local event, Lil Baby combined chart success with appreciation for the mothers in his community, transforming a holiday celebration into a tribute to those who support their families behind the scenes.
