Acclaimed Producer Mike City’s Soulamike Drops June 21st

Acclaimed producer Mike City has proven himself a trendsetter in most genre’s of music due in large part to his masterful ability to infuse various cross sections of music so uniquely yet always staying true to its core essence.

But at the heart of it all for the singer/songwriter/producer it always comes back to soul, and for his latest offering he has unleashed his musical doppelganger, aka SOULAMIKE to give the fans some throwback unapologetically black soul records with his sophomore album “That Ol Soul” dropping June 21, 2018.

On the 10 track compilation of original new music, SOULAMIKE is administering Issac Hayes type soul funked out with the groove of strong slap bass guitar riffs and rhythmic baselines such as on the song “So Ready”.

The piano led rhythm with accentuated back- beat of “Save A Dance for Me” has SOULAMIKE conjuring up feelings of when Little Richard would rock and Smokey Robinson and the Miracles brought the rhythm and blues.

The vocal harmonies of doo-wop are not lost on this fresh flashback of a good ol fashioned soul. “That Ol Soul” is proof of how timeless classic soul is from generation to generation.
