American Idol Finalist Gabby Samone Covers September Issue of Urban Magazine

The latest issue places American Idol finalist Gabby Samone on the cover, spotlighting her rise as a powerful new voice in music. Samone, who captured national attention with her performances on the hit competition show, continues to grow her career as a recording artist and performer.

She was recently labeled “the voice of Gen Z” by publisher Be’n Original, who praised her ability to connect with audiences through honesty and artistry. Reflecting on her first headlining tour, which included stops in New York, Boston, Atlanta, and Philadelphia, Samone said the experience reshaped how she sees herself on stage. “I learned that I can be open,” she said. “I’m extremely closed off. So performing in front of people, especially in an intimate space like that, I had to be open. I had to be vulnerable. I had to tell some of my business. And I learned that I can do that.”

The issue also features MonaLesa Diamond Brackett, second runner-up at Miss New York USA 2025, who reflects on her pageant journey and her work beyond the stage. Screenwriter Felicia F. Clark contributes an exclusive short story, offering readers a look at her distinctive storytelling.

Notre Dame football standout Jerimiyah Love is highlighted not only for his performance on the field but also for his creative venture off it. Love has launched a comic book series titled Jeremonstar, expanding his reach into storytelling and entertainment.

Production consultant Janelle Abraham is also profiled, sharing insight into her work behind the scenes and her role in shaping projects across entertainment.

The issue also includes a curated buyer’s guide, showcasing products that blend wellness, style, and technology. Highlights include the LifeSmart TM2500 Treadmill, designed for fitness at home; the Setû Complete Skincare Set for Men, crafted for daily grooming; and the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo, tailored for content creators on the move.

In addition, readers will find new works of poetry from Mo Houston and Deareliz Anahi, along with a first look at the upcoming film The Long Walk. Together, these features extend the issue’s focus beyond profiles to celebrate creativity and culture across multiple platforms.
