Apple TV+ Releases Trailer for Crime Drama “Lucky” Ahead of July Premiere

Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for “Lucky,” a new crime-drama series based on the bestselling novel by Marissa Stapley and executive-produced by Reese Witherspoon. The limited series premieres July 15 on Apple TV+.

Created by Jonathan Tropper and produced by Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, the series stars Anya Taylor-Joy in the title role. The cast also includes Drew Starkey, Timothy Olyphant, and Annette Bening.

Based on Stapley’s novel, the series follows Lucky, a woman with a criminal past who is forced back into that world after a multimillion-dollar heist goes wrong. As she attempts to outrun both federal investigators and a powerful crime boss, she faces a fight for survival and a chance to escape her past.

The newly released trailer offers a glimpse at the series’ blend of crime, suspense, and action, with Taylor-Joy portraying a con artist on the run. The footage features high-stakes chases, confrontations, and the mounting pressure surrounding Lucky’s attempt to stay one step ahead of her pursuers.

“Lucky” marks the latest collaboration between Apple TV+ and Hello Sunshine. Tropper serves as creator, writer, co-showrunner, and executive producer alongside Cassie Pappas. Taylor-Joy also serves as an executive producer on the project.

The series will debut with its first two episodes on July 15, followed by weekly episode releases through Aug. 19.

The trailer is available now, with the series set to join Apple TV+’s summer lineup of original programming.
