Bringing a rare freshness mixed with passion and enthusiasm, Truth The Young God is putting in the work while carving out his own lane. Completely focused on his craft, he is definitely an artist to watch.

When did you start performing?
I started performing when I was about 17 years old. I always wanted to be a rapper but I didn’t know what I was doing that early on I was just trying new things and learning through failure. Actually, the first time I performed I got scammed by a local rap group I thought was cool.

Name some of the artists who have inspired or influenced you?
As for influences, Coming up I looked up to guys like 50 Cent, fat joe, Eminem.. but as I got older and rap started to change along with my mindset & aspirations to be a musician, I started listening more to people who motivated me to go hard… Artists such as Meek Mill, Tory Lanez, Lil Uzi… People who made it out of the trenches and now can talk that talk and motivate the people still there.

How would you describe your style?
My style is real! That’s the best way for me to describe it. Everyone has their own interpretation of reality, so let me give you mine… I only make music about real events happening in my life. My songs are based on my emotions and feelings at the time of production whether they came from the type of instrumental I use or I specifically chose that instrumental based on how I’m feeling. I put my soul into my music and a lot of people love it because they can relate! I know I’m not the only person in the world going through things alone whether they’re good or bad! I just tell my story.

What separates you from other artists?
What separates me from other artists is my drive and passion. I do not give up! I put my blood sweat and tears into this. Let’s not even mention the money I put behind myself. I spend my last dollar on it! My logo and motto is “Risk it all”… I believe in it so heavy that I have it tattooed on my face! I really live by that. In real life, not just the music. That saying just speaks for itself! My logo is a money bag with a music note on it with money falling out with the motto written around it! I don’t even have to explain it… it’s different and authentic! It’s who I am.

Name some of the major artists you have performed with?
I’ve shared a stage with a few artists such as 2 Chainz, there was a female artist from Love & Hip Hop I shared a stage with but I don’t remember her name. I wasn’t really a fan of her. I just ended up getting a spot on the same stage but I’m sure if you look into it you can figure it out… And Rowdy Rebel… I just started really doing performances seriously and I have a lot more opportunities this year. You’ll see me and I hope to see you!

Do you have any major offers on the table?
Not really I’m just working on myself right now. I do my own management and my own marketing. I put my own money behind me. I even direct and edit my own videos. If I could hold the camera and shoot myself, I would do that too. I’m a videographer so I shoot other artists’ videos as well!

What advice would you offer other aspiring artists?
I would just tell them that if they really believe in themselves and they want it as bad as they want to breathe… Just risk it all.
